Using our Videos

All our videos are freely downloadable (from YouTube) and may be used for personal worship and/or in your Worship Services.

We welcome the use of the videos. The full services have the words of songs, and at appropriate points allow for your own input such as local Prayers of Intercession, Offering and Sharing Moments of Thanksgiving. Sometimes the service may include Holy Communion and you are invited to participate (have bread and wine/grape juice available).

If you prefer you may use the “Message Only” videos which include the Bible Readings and the Sermon. You would then plan a live Worship Service with the Message as an inclusion. This has proved particularly helpful for lay led congregations who simply require teaching input.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE VIDEOS FROM YOUTUBE

  1. You will need to download the YTD App (YouTube Downloader). Here is the Link. You can download for Apple or Windows – check that you have the right one for your computer.
  2. Once you have downloaded the app, simply open it. Go to the YouTube video you want to download, click on the Bookmark URL (at the top of the screen) – it should immediately appear in the app.
  3. For Download quality, choose either “Best available” – default, or HD 720p (1080K is great but your system may not give of its best – give it a go anyway. Its always my choice)
  4. Determine which file to which you want to download. Sometimes helpful to download to a USB/Flash Drive so that it is transportable, especially if you are downloading at home and taking it to use on the church computer.
  5. Click “Automatically convert to Ipad Video (MPEG-4 MP4). Its a drop down list. This is the best format for showing on the big screen. (Don’t be concerned by the iPad option, its the MP4 that matters)
  6. Click “High” on Conversion quality (Its the default anyway)
  7. You can click “Delete original file after conversion”, that will avoid holding unnecessary files on your computer.
  8. Click “Download”
  9. Depending on the size of the download, it may take a while. Just be patient.

NOTE: This is also useful for downloading music videos from YouTube to use in the Worship Service.
